How to Become a Member

Thank you for your interest in joining the Culinary Indexing Special Interest Group. SIG membership is restricted to members of national indexing societies, including the American Society for Indexing, Society of Indexers, AusSI, and Southern African Indexers. The fee for membership is $25 annually, due in December of each year.

Dick Bower will add your information to the SIG Web site Membership Directory and Marketing Directory; his email address is rabower@stny.rr.com (NOTE: There are two different lists - one with just name and address which is the Membership List, the other with information for publishers!).

Please look at several examples in the List of Available Indexers: - click on a link and you will find information about each indexer listed. Then compose what you want to say about you and send it to Dick with your contact information.

Once Melody receives your payment, we will add you to the YahooGroups listserv and to the Web site.

Both the SIG website and the listserv site contain a wealth of information about culinary indexing. Once you have become a member, you can explore the members-only files at our listserv website, http://yahoogroups.com. The files include notes from culinary indexing workshops and a list of publishers’ addresses.
